Greetings in the precious and matchless name of Jesus! I trust that this letter finds you and yours well; God remains faithful!
I am writing to you on the behalf of the International Christian Education Association of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, our President Dr. Barbara Payne, her staff and the Aida Ford Scholar Committee. We are overjoyed to inform you that you have been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Aida Ford Scholar Award for your book entitled “Tier 1: Discovering Self: New Wine, Old Skins”. This award was instituted to recognize a talented author within PAW organization who has published educationally significant books or literature. In addition, the recipient must be an avid Christian Education supporter, sound in the Word of God and a skilled teacher/educator. These attributes and so much more were noted in Pastor Aida Ford and have been memorialized in this award; the same have been recognized in you.
The ICEA will acknowledge you and present the Award during the Annual Session in Atlanta, GA, Sunday August 5th at 11 a.m. Along with the presentation, you will be allowed time to give a quick overview of your book and share with the audience what or who inspired you to write this book. You will also be provided an opportunity to sell and autograph copies of the book during this session. Please confirm at your earliest convenience that you will be able to attend the award ceremony. Congratulations! The Eastern Region of the General Alumni Association of Fisk University and The Washington Fisk Alumni Association is excited to announce that you have been selected to be recognized for your exceptional accomplishments in your community and profession. This award will be presented as part of the 2018 Talented Tenth Gala & Awards Ceremony, to be held on October 20, 2018 at the Hilton Crystal City in Arlington, VA. The Talented Tenth Gala and Awards Ceremony aspires to highlight the impact of Fisk alums in the Eastern Region.
An event of this magnitude does bring with it expenses, and it is our goal to ensure that as much of the ticket sales as possible can be returned to support scholarships at Fisk University.
